In 1962 a group of people were worshiping together meeting in Wilmont OH. In a short time a preacher by the name of Millard Downing had become the pastor of what was then called Peniel Holiness Church. At the same time that Peniel Holiness Church began they also began a Christian School under the name of Peniel Holiness Church And Christian Day School. The church and school grew and in 1967 property (7 acres) was given to the church outside of Beach City OH. Peniel Holiness Church and Christian Day School built on this location where it has endeavored to serve the Lord and our community. 

This is still our present location. It is impossible to estimate the  impact that Peniel Church and School has had for Christ on the numbers of students over the years who have attended the school or been touched by a ministry of the church.

We had been an independent holiness church until the summer of 2004 when we joined ourselves to a fellowship of churches knows as The Heartland Connection of Bible Methodist Churches. It was during this time we changed our name to Beach City Bible Methodist Church and Christian School.

We are coming up on 50 years of ministry and public worship here at Beach City Bible Methodist Church and Christian School. Looking back the phrase comes to mind “To God be the glory great things He has done.” Looking ahead we rejoice to say, “To God be the glory great things he is doing.”
